Bringing Science to Life: Year 9's Exciting Trip to Hinkley Point C
The pupils on the year 9 entry level pathway learn about renewables, non-renewables and radiation. We were very fortunate to go on a trip to Hinkley point C to put learning into a real-life context.
We had a guided tour of the site in a luxury coach, finding all about how the station is being built, the variety of workers needed on site, the cost of leasing the land, how the reactors are cooled with seawater and so much more. We even got to try on workers' outfits in the learning center.
