Wales Unleashed: Our Unforgettable Year 7 Residential Adventure

I can't contain my excitement when I think back to the Year 7 Wales Residential trip! It was an incredible adventure filled with heaps of fun and thrilling activities.

The first thing that comes to mind is the mud-run. Who doesn't love getting dirty and having a blast while navigating through muddy obstacles? I can already picture myself laughing and cheering everyone on as we conquered each challenge together. And that's just the beginning!

Next on the agenda was the climbing wall and high ropes. A way to test our strength and agility. The feeling of accomplishment when reaching the top was exhilarating, and I know it gave so many a much-needed boost of confidence that will last long after the trip.

Another activity that had us buzzing with anticipation was the night line. An exciting blindfolded challenge, where we relied on our communication skills and trust in our teammates.

We will also have the opportunity to learn the essential skills of fire building. Picture yourself gathered around a cosy campfire, surrounded by friends, as we learnt how to build and maintain a fire whilst toasting our marshmallows. We discovered the importance of fire safety and the different techniques needed to start a fire from scratch. The sense of accomplishment when we successfully built our own fire was amazing.

One of the highlights of the Year 7 Wales Residential was the archery session. Imagine yourself holding a bow and arrow, ready to hit the target with precision and strength. The thrill of shooting arrows and seeing them fly through the air was simply exhilarating. With expert instructors guiding us, we learnt the art of archery and improved our skills.

And let's not forget about dolphin spotting! Wales is known for its stunning coastal areas and abundant marine life. Catching a glimpse of these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat was absolutely thrilling.

But that's not all; we'll also have the chance to relax and unwind at the beach. The feeling of the soft sand between our toes and listening to the soothing sound of crashing waves is pure bliss.

And of course, what's a school trip without a disco? A chance to let loose, dance like nobody's watching, and have an absolute blast.

All in all, the Year 7 Wales Residential trip was an unforgettable experience filled with fun, adventure, and new discoveries. From the adrenaline rush of the activities to the serene beauty of the beaches and the excitement of dolphin spotting, every moment will be treasured.

Lastly, I would like to say a huge thanks to Ms Pitocco, Miss Thompson, Mrs Linder and Mr Bradfield who made sure we were well looked after and enjoyed our week away from home.
