There may be an occasion during the winter months when it is necessary to close the school because of a heavy snowfall or severe bad weather.  We very much hope such occurrences are rare but when it is necessary we want to ensure that all parents know how the information will be conveyed to them as soon as this decision is made.

We will circulate the information in the following ways:

• Information will appear on the school website on the home page saying ‘School   Closed Today’
• Information will be broadcast on Heart Radio. (If we have snow in our area, please tune into Heart Radio to listen for details of school closures.)
• Devon Live - School Closure Information
• We will inform you by text using the 'Text to Parents' system.  (Please ensure that we always have your latest mobile number.)

Unless stated otherwise, please consider that the school is only closed for that one day.

Even if our school is open it may be that school transport is unable to operate.  If normal transport is not running and parents bring their child into school themselves, they will also need to collect them at the end of the day.
